There are three authentication methods for LinkFixer Advanced in SharePoint Online/OneDrive.

1. Username/Password - This authentication method is for non-MFA accounts. This option is used when you have a managed (cloud) SharePoint Online/OneDrive account or your computer is not connected to your company's network. LinkFixer Advanced will use the credentials provided to perform the authentication. This authentication type is the easiest since it does not require the SharePoint Tenant admin to log in.

2. Office 365 - Supports MFA-enabled accounts and SAML-based third party identity providers like Okta. *This authentication method may need the Global Admin to log in and give "Admin consent" after the site collection admin logs in.

3. Office 365 with admin consent - This authentication method is basically the regular Office 365 authentication plus the ability to use the document ID system in SharePoint Online. This requires the SharePoint Online Global admin to log in once, just to approve the site collection admin to process files in the specific site collection.

*There are some instances wherein the regular "Office 365" authentication still requires admin access, this happens if it's how the SharePoint infrastructure is set up. This does not mean elevated privileges for your account nor does it mean that the admin's account is being used for processing. The "Admin consent' is merely granting permission for LinkFixer Advanced to be able to process the contents of the SharePoint site. The admin consent is only done once per machine, per tenancy, regardless of the number of site collections that are added under the tenancy.
