Mapping shares in the LinkFixer Advanced server is a crucial step to be able to properly Inoculate or fix links via Cure or Modify Links. LinkFixer Advanced automatically detects shares mapped in Windows. These mapped shares with their respective drive letters can be viewed by going to the "hamburger" menu | Network Locations.
1. Ensure that the shares are mapped to the correct drive letter, the way users see it.
For example:
Users may have "\\server\servername\Finance\" mapped on their machines as "Z:\." The "Finance" share has to be mapped as "Z:\" on the LinkFixer Advanced server as well.
2. Ensure that the shares are mapped to the correct folder level, the way users have it.
For example:
Users may have "\\server\servername\Finance\Finance 2019\" mapped on their machines as "Z:\Finance 2019\." The "Finance" share has to be mapped as "Z:\" on the LinkFixer Advanced server as well, with the sub-folder "Finance 2019" under it.
3. A LinkFixer Advanced "Scan" can always be done if you are unsure what drive letters and folder-level the shares are mapped on.
