Event Viewer is a component of Microsoft's Windows NT line of operating systems that lets administrators and users view the event logs on a local or remote machine.

Whenever a critical issue, (such as an application crash) happens, the event viewer logs are needed for support to be able to help identify the source of an issue, which would lead to a resolution.

How to gather the Windows Event Viewer logs:

  1. Open Event Viewer by typing "Event Viewer" in the Windows Start Menu search bar, or typing "eventvwr.msc" in the Run window.
  2. Click on "Create Custom View" under the "Actions" window of Event Viewer.

  3. In the "Create Custom View" page, set the filter for when the critical LinkFixer Advanced issue occurred.
  4. Make sure to select both the "Application" and "System" logs and hit "Ok".

  5. Save the event and attach the saved logs to your LinkFixer Advanced support ticket.
